Here is a photo of me all smiles going to preschool for the first time. It's funny how we get so excited when the beginning of the year comes and we are ready to start a new year of school. If you look at the picture I was pretty much a stud. I mean, check out my dog surfing outfit. I don't think I was really ready for school to begin, maybe I still should be at the beach.Today was the last day of school and concluded my first year of teaching 4th grade. I always became excited for school to begin and there then comes a moment during the year where I say, "Can't wait for school to be out" (usually it was about 2-3 weeks into the year). I was never much of a school person during elementary, junior high, high school, and college so I am sure for the next 20 or so years I will say each year "I am glad its the summer because school is finished!" I am excited for the summer so I can wear my dog surfing outfit, but come fall I will be excited to start a new year.

You better dig out that outfit for Avery, I'm sure she'll want to be just like dad and wear it on her first day of school! Good luck tomorrow with the two babies, you're brave! Happy birthday too!
